Hello my name is rAwks and I am one of the writers for ipodtouchhacks.com. I currently reside in Los Angeles, California with my fiance. I am 24 years old and I own a jailbroken 1.1.4 16 GB iPod Touch. I use my jailbroken iPod Touch on a daily basis: doing presentations using Touchpad Pro, organization using calendar and To Do List, etc.
I’m not an expert hacker and I don’t have any programming skills, but I know enough to get by to put your jailbroken iPod Touch/iPhone to the max. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns from anybody. If I don’t know the answer, I will do my best to find out the answer for you. All I can say is, jailbreaking your iPod/iPhone is not easy…you will have to put a lot of work and time into it. There will be good times and bad times, but once you have it the way you want…it’s all worth it in the end. You can email me or IM me and I’ll do my best to respond quickly and answer all your questions.
Hope all goes well!

Rawks…
I nid ur help again…
Why my ipod cannot detect the ROMS and the tap tap revo songs i put…
Do you know whats the problem?
To Mr. Quik…
Did you add the ROMS through SSH or did you install it through a source? I need to know more to help you out.
I add the the ROMS through SSH..
Kindly help me.. Thanks…
I have an 8GB ipod touch, and the question i wanted to ask was how much sapce is needed for jailbreak and its roms? Because i still want to have room for my music and videos.
Rawks…
What are the reasons why an installer cannot be downloaded?
a messge appears “package cannot…….”
To Mr. Quik…
Did you make a folder in your Media folder named ROMs? Then inside that ROMs folder, did you make a folder named either NES, SNES, GBA, or PSX (depending on which ROMs you got for which emulator)?!?
To Chris D…
When you jailbreak your iPod, it doesn’t use the space for your music, videos, photos, etc. That 8 GB is ONLY for that! The apps and ROMs you put on, use a different space. I have a 16 GB iPod and I have about 1500 songs, 40 videos, 1100 photos, and I still have about 4 GB of space left. Not to mention, I have 5 pages of apps and 2 pages of web apps. Having all of this, I have 71 MB of space left for my apps. When you jailbreak, you will need to use Bosstools to add more space…that helps out a lot. Hope all goes well!
To Mr. Quik…
I don’t understand the question. I thought your iPod was already jailbreaked. Why would you have to install installer?!? Just let me know a little more.
Thank you very much rawks, that has helped alot
To rawks..
The installer i mean there are some applications like the Wikipedia and battery images…
I make the folder Media/ROMs/GBA, and i put the gba roms there.
Is that correct? Can i know what is the exact directory should i put the ROMS and the songs for tap tap revoution..
To Chris D…
No problemo! I’m glad to be of assistance to you! Hope all goes well!
To Mr. Quik…
I’m still a bit unclear about the Installer question. I’m just going to write down a couple things about Wikipedia and battery images. For wikipedia, I know you have to download some stuff to get the app working well. Here’s a link to help you out.

For battery images, you would have to have Customize on your iPod. There are some cool battery images in the Themes (Customize) section on Installer. Also, about the ROMs…for GBA Roms create a Media/ROMs/GBA folder inside /private/var/root/ and for the others create a folder in the /private/var/mobile/ called Media/ROMs/NES and SNES. About TTR, I think it was var/ root/ mobile/ media/ ttr put all permissions to 755 including the folders and the songs themselves. Hope all goes well!
RAWKS…
do you know a source where i can get ROMS for GBA..
what do you mean by put all permissions to 755? where i can see it?
tnx…
Jailbreaking iPod touch with ZiPhone is so easy that you can laugh
I have jailbreaked my iPod touch 1.1.4 in 30 seconds.
To Mr. Quik…
I don’t know of any sources where you can get the ROMs for the GBA emulator. I know of NES and SNES. There use to be one for the GBA, but it stopped working. When I mentioned to change the permissions, you check these out on SSH. Hope all goes well!
To Jan…
I’m glad Ziphone worked well for you! WOW…I think you set a world record for the fastest jailbreak using Ziphone. I’m just joking…I really don’t know, but I’m glad it was quick for you. Hope all goes well!
haha

dear jan
how did u jail break your ipod with ziphone , i have an ipod touch and the farthest i got with the ziphone app is uploading it on to my ipod , pretty much i got this far
1. Restore your iPod to firmware 1.1.4
* Plug in your iPod and run iTunes.
* When your iPod shows up in iTunes, click the restore button
o This will erase everything on your iPod, but you can sync it later
* Do not restore from a backup
2. Download ZiPhone
* Download ZiPhone
* Click on the downloaded file and let it install
* If it doesn’t install, you need to download and install this .net microsoft file
3. Run ZiPhone
* With your plugged in iPod and ZiPhone running, click Jailbreak (the second action)
* Wait a minute, and your iPod will be jailbroken with installer on your home screen.
after that it says i have to go to some options but i dont have those they are only in the i phone ,…. what do i do next , can u help me
