The iPod Touch was announced on September 5, 2007. Apple currently offers two options: 8gb ($299) and a 16gb ($399) version. They use flash memory like the iPhone and nano and unlike the iPod Classics which use hard drives.

   the instructions are not very clear, so you will have to read the comments on page 2 to find out exactly what the entry should look like. Dont forget to reboot your ipod.

    I have discovered elsewhere that I had 1.1.1 iPhone apps and that there are newer ones which I now have for 1.1.2.

    Have yet to install as I cannot get Oktoprep to install. Bit weird. So sticking with 1.1.1 with iPhone apps and the Calendar tweak to add events – all works brilliantly.

    I got the $25 Walmart ipod iVoice to work with vnotes which means the touch will work with voip when it comes out 1-1-08. The mod to the unit is not too hard. U4 is a Max9812 like the one the mic project boys have been working on. The ‘secret’ is to remove R24 (a 0 ohm) resister near the very edge of the board. One side is connected to pin 1 of U4. That is the amp chip enable pin. The pin is low via other hardware on the board.
    Now wire from where the R24 U4 was to one side of the LED. That will put 3.3 VDC on pin 1 of U4 turning it ON ! Now the mic amp is on and working.
    The beauty of all this is the mic is available at Walmart for $25 and it has a line in plug to boot !
    I hope this helps further the voip project by making the mic available nearly everywhere.

    I’ll give you a tip maybe you shouldn’t put games and programs in your ipod touch if it would break because mainly the ipod touch and items like that are meant for music not high tech and great things. It’s like getting a Computer but it’s not compatible with PC games and discs. So I think you should go with the basics. And take my advice because it’s the smart way not the dumb way like other people say. If you really think that’s dumb advice just say it here or give it to my email address and that is: ashiebabe@gmail.com . To tell you the truth I think you should have not done it in the first place. Do your parents know?
    Tell them they might get you a new one or save up to get one more or go and see an ipod specialist. There’s this person I know that isn’t an ipod specialist but that can fix one if it gets damaged. That person fixes phones computer speakers and PC stuff. He’s in Nashville at the far end of the street.
