yeah don’t down load dock lock yhing when you hit restart springboard it puts it in safe mode how to get out of safe mode 1st open up cydia 2nd uninstall dock lock app or most recently installed app 3rd hit restart springoard this should resolve it problem. as for you CHRIS hold down home and power buttons for 10 seconds it should turn off now just hold power button untill apple symbol comes up .PS chris don’t freak out this will take 6 -10. Tore set just wait you will have to get out of safe mode also p.s.s if theese 2 options don’t work try soft reset home plus power for 10 seconds but thistime only let go of power buton keep holding home you should get a connect to I tunes button do so iPod should show up as iPod in restoremode DONT EVER HIT SETUP AS OLD iPod IT WILL FUCK YOUR IPOD UP so badly you will get to the checkerd screen of no return your iPod is now bricked as they say

This is for TAMALUKO… My friend, nicknamed “jerry” got his iPod bricked after performing numerous hacks and “abuses” towards his iPod… in an “illegal” way, as downloading stuff you have to pay for, for free. anyway, he said that when he got it bricked, he had enabled disk-use, meaning that he went into “my Computer” and in his iPod’s folder, there was a folder that was titled “Bricked.” He deleted the folder, and his iPod was no longer bricked… that should work for all of you , unless you were RETARDED and haven’t “Enabled Disk Use…”

Same thing as Chris happened to me, restored as old iPod, apart from Winterboard not skinning iPod (solved with reboot) iPod works fine.

and then i still in safe mode n then ur ipod going to respring if u r ipod respring and then they r send u in safe mode so first go to winterboard and change theme or something wich on u like to do n then if they r send u again in safemode s click on exit safe mode and they give u option OK RESTART N HELP so
click on RESTART n ur ipod g to spring n ur now in noramal mode e any if u have any promblem so contact me on my email and write in subjects pllzzz help for ipod ya so pCe guyz -

ok so i got ProSwitcher and now when I press my home button in an app it goes to safe mode and when i double click it on home screen it goes in to safe mode. When i installed it it put something in my settings called activator and it has what your home should do when held down clicked once and clicked twice and i put them all to normal home button functions but my ipod still goes into safe mode. I am about to restore any help will be greatly thanked.

I had the Same problem after I dowloaded Cydget. Restarted the springboard and a thing came up on the lockscreen saying sad iPhone or something and a picture. My ipod came out of safe mode but I cannot see any apps but I can still find and use them with spotlight. I have tried deleting cydget, rebooting, hard restarts and soft restarts but nothing works. Any help would be much appriciated.

Are you all stupid!!! omg… first of all restore will get you unbricked no matter what unless you have physically damaged it. second deleting a folder called bricked??? How stupid. and to exit safe mode WTF? it says how to when you enter safe mode look at the fucking status bar it says exit safe mode or soft restart!!! Jailbreaking is not dangerous unless you are stupid!!!

WTF, cos I wasn’t doing anything, just ipoding, suddenly, the iPod appeare that I got in a safe mode,
I restarted it milllions of times, no luck. The lockscreen shows me a sad iPhone, I was like WTF? What’s that. Then I tried to reatart the springboard, nothing worked, I dnt have docklock (whatever it’s called, iprotect, I think?) anyway, how to get out these situation NOTICE; I dnt wanna to restore my iPod? Please, please help me. I have an ipod touch 4.0 with jailbreak from “Jailbreak me.com” and i have tried everything. first, of corse, i restarted it like it recomends. that didnt work. I did it like 7 times. Next, I uninstalled all of my most recent cydia apps. it didnt work. Then, I got “CrashReporter” and tried to find the source of the problem, and it said that the problem was Mobile Substrate and that I should uninstall it. WTF?! I thought that mobile substrate was the thing that STOPPED my ipod from being bricked! Anyways, I just ignored that and decided not to screw myself and not take my chances with being bricked. After that, I uninstalled ALL of the cydia apps that I knew that I downloaded. i didnt uninstall the ones that were there when i got cydia, dont worry. That didnt work. After that, I restored my ipod. That didnt work. I restored my ipod to an earlier date. THAT DIDNT GOD DAMN WORK!! So now Im sitting at my desk typing this message scared out of my mind! Please. please. please help me. Ive tried everything, literally. and my email from my ipod isnt working and i cant reply or send any messages from my ipod! please help me, i beg you.

Okay, I also have a problem like the cydget guys up there ^ I installed a theme called iNav, and it sent me to safe mode. I couldnt find it in my packages and i couldnt delete it. After i donwloaded it, it never gave me the theme and all it gave me was a bunch of blank icons and catagories. WHY? Please help.

i have a 1st generation ipod touch, it has been jailbroken but it got locked out as i forgot my code. the device is not recognisable in itunes and on the ipod when you try anclick on the status bar it says springboard has crashed and i have to restart springboard. what do i need to do so i can use my ipod again????

Then you have to turn it on.

here is exactly what you got to do with the lockdock fail app.
firsty if your ipod is in safe mode you will notice that you arent able to see apps like cydia and installus on your screen. So what you should do is swipe to the furthest left search screen on your ipod touch and search for cydia, from there you just delete the lockdock package and respring.
Your ipod should now be out of safe mode (well it worked for me anyway, sorry if i couldnt help you)

i have downloaded 3Dboard and winterboard. when it restarts my ipod it says that safemode is on so i restart it. when its done it says the message again. so i looked up what to do to make it stop coming up, and it says to delete the last cydia app i downloaded. but thats 3Dboard. and thats like the only winterboard app i want. and it also says that if it dosnt work delete winterboard and i tried that but than 3Dboard wont work uck!!!!!!!!!!! idk what to do now, someone pleez hellp

My ipod has been in safe mode many times XP Even as I am speaking, I’m in safe mode. I’m relatively familiar with it. To fix safe mode, turn your ipod off and than on. If that doesnt work, than hold the home and power button until it shuts off; than turn it on when wanted. There is also another way to get into safe mode that bugs me because it wasnt mentioned. Sometime, when you switch pages on your ipod (via sliding you finger across the screen) you may get to an “extra” page with no apps. This will immediately set your ipod into safe mode. All you need to do is turn your ipod off and on. I’m not sure how to completely solve the problem though.

Then you select packages
so you see a toolbar than said safe mode or kind of
Tap and select modify so delete it
