Apple, Jailbreak, iPhone Dev Team, iPod Touch

So, as rAwks already announced, the Dev team has done it, they have jailbroken the iPod Touch 2G!!

But, it’s not quit ready for the public yet. They have found away around Apple’s signature checks (by using their patch Red Sn0w) and can jb it. The only issue is that they must do this before every boot. This problem seems quit minor in the grand scheme of things and will most likely be fixed soon. I would think that they would just need to down a program that can boot the patch automatically.

guys, its been a long time we have been waiting for a jailbreak and all the speculations about it will take mad long and bla bla bla, now at least they’ve done it and it will be soon (i hope) they will come out with a public release. Ok yeah I tried it and it took me a some wat long time to try to Jailbreak my itouch 2g and i wasent successful so i didnt get my itouch jailbroken yet but if any1 else wants to try go ahead actually try it i didnt harm my itouch at all if u want to try it fine go here for the tutorial i hav used to try to jail brake my http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuuLY7tyUWs&feature=channel_page but there are two parts and u will some problems that wont harm ur itouch at all.

But if u get stuck or want to quit jailbreaking it and want ur regular stuff back that waz before u try to jailbreak it then do this.

1.Hold down the Power and home button for 15 sec
2. The until the screen iz off let go of the home button and just hold the power button
3. then ull c the apple logo then u just regained back everything from before u try to jailbreak ur itouch so u dont hav to restore ur itouch and reinstall everything else

THis is just a suggestion dont do it if u dont want to or ur just to scared to do it!!!!!

I jailbroke my 2g iPod and then after about a week it froze on me but I could still slide to power down so I did. Then when it shut off I pressed the power button and after about 5 minute it turned on. I don’t know if this means anything but it freaked me out.

What the heck is taking so dang long I’ve been checking up on this jailbreak for like months now and I was told that after they get the 3g done it would only take a few more weeks after that so I don’t even think they’ll be able to even get the touch 2g jailbroken and you would figure that it would be harder to jailbreak the 3g but who realy knows right
