With the announcement of the iPhone 3G comes news of updates with Apple. DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING! DO NOT update to new versions of iTunes, DO NOT install new firmware versions and DO NOT buy the new iPhone when it comes out.
‘But why shouldn’t I?’
Believe it or not, Apple is kinda smart. They are bound to make things harder on hackers who are creating jailbreaks (Zibri and cmw). You need to let them figure things out before you go ahead and update, then complain that your iPod won’t jailbreak.
Read upcoming blogs to get the information you need about these updates.

AT&T will be registering the iPhone 3G in stores at time of purchase, so your credit card will automatically be getting billed.
I think jailbreaking is going to die!
hey.
so im new to this whole hacking thing. so i followed the jailbreak steps and i got up to using the ZiPhone. i accidently clicked on “Do It All” and now my Ipod touch is full of text.
repeating: “BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0″
i tried shutting it down but it always starts back up. im gonna leave it on the whole night hopefully the battery will run out.
please let me know what to do.
thanx

Hey Ben P. What you need to do is a hard reset. What you do (I think) is hold the power button and the sleep button for like 10 second each without letting go. And it should reset. It’s something like that. Search YouTube for un-bricking an iPod touch or iPhone and it should, in theory, should un-brick. rAwks and other people on this site are near 100% confident it’s impossible to completely ‘brick’ an iPod Touch.
Also- I didn’t update my iTunes but lets say I were to do it - hypothetically, and I understand the reprocussions of doing something that stupid haha so I wouldn’t do it, but lets say someone does - what would they do?
does jailbreak will harm my itouch which is the best jailbreak please help me
Well rocky, a jailbreak can harm your iTouch if you are foolish and don’t understand how the whole process works. Before I did my Ziphone jailbreak on my iTouch I did so much research and reading to figure out what it was doing, which was the safest, and the exact method in doing the jailbreak. Although I’m soon going to be formating the ipod and then installing the App store from iTunes. I think it’s silly how we have to pay for it, but at least it will be safe.
when trying to add ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml I get a message that says file failed….I do not know what to do next…..can anyone help?
