I have my 1st gen Touch jailbroken and I am loving it. Here is the thing though, If I leave it for more than a few minutes it basically shuts off. I have to hold the power button to turn it back on and it takes forever. Never had that problem before. I have had to do the jailbreak a couple times and am running FW 2.1 and have it set to not lock. Any ideas other than DFU ?

i also have the teathered jailbreak 2G and i love it i just cant turn it off like i ever did that any way. and i got it off youtube i had mine jailbroken for 3 weeks now and i havent put it down sence. i think everyone should try it its worth it. this is the page i used

jon i you could update to 2.2.1 if you want to. but just soo you know 90 percent of the jailbreaking videos on youtube is not accurate. you can’t trust those guys unless is site posts videos on jailbreaking.

I love checking seeing new posts on this site and hoping that it will be about the jailbreak for the ipod Touch 2g. Even if they are not, still informative. Thanks for all the hard work!

I remember reading that we should not update to version 2.2.1. Is that still true?

What about the videos on YouTube that demonstrate working jailbreaks?

Boo hoo apple can cry all they want. What they fale to relize is copyright is only is only to stop someone from producing something someone else own’s and then marketing it and making a profit off of it. However once a person buyies something it is there’s to do with as they please as Long as there not changing it and then resaling it as there own. Like with a car if I buy one and then modafied it I have not violted copyright I have made it to fit my personality and it is for my personal use. Just think of all the modfied computers out there. Once I buy an iPod or a iPhone or anything else for that matter what I do with it is up to me. It’s called America and these are our freedoms. Apple just has a controle problem and they just need to get over it. Keep up the good work DEV team and anybody else out there who wants to help the world make change.
