Managing To-Do-List with iPod Touch

Author : kdollar

Life Hacker has released a video with instructions on how to use the iPod Touch to manage appointments and assignments. The feature is already in the iPhone and will hopefully be added once the iPod Touch has been jailbreak’d but for now this work around should do the trick.

Hey create a folder labeled To Do in your address book and it will show up on the touch. You can leave all your to do’s in that folder so it will seperate them from your contacts

I did the same I just labeled it 1 so that it shows up at the very bottom of my contacts and I don’t have to search for it.

Sorry but this simply demonstrates that Apple have their heads stuck where the sun does not shine. I just spent close to $600 for the iPod Touch 32 GB version in Japan, where the iPhone is not available, and afterward learned that there is no to do list, and that it is impossible to edit emails stored as drafts or waiting in the Outbox. I can’t even choose what group new contacts entered on the iPod will belong to, and can’t cut and paste text. What on earth would possess Apple to not offer such basic features? I have read that they are trying to differentiate the iPhone from the iPod. ALERT: THERE IS NO IPHONE YET IN JAPAN AND PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT TRAVEL BETWEEN JAPAN AND OTHER COUNTRIES WILL NOT BUY AN IPHONE IN JAPAN BECAUSE WE CAN’T USE IT OVERSEAS. Wake up Apple and update the functionality for this product. Six hundred dollars is not a price for a toy. I expect reasonably functional mail and contact applications. I have spent about 15,000 dollars on your products and if you expect me to spend more then SATISFY ME.

Not to be rude William, but if you DO travel between Japan and other countries, you COULD have bought the iPod at another country for a far cheaper price. The iPod has had these limited features loooong before you bought it, that’s why informed shoppers research what they’re buying before they get their wallets out. Next time you buy something, research all the ups and downs before you buy it; it will save you frustrations and tantrums (like the one you’re throwing over your new ‘toy’) in the future. Just a suggestion…
