1 first you must have firmware 1.1.1 jailbroken if u don’t look at my downgrade instructions

2 go into the installer app and click instlal and look in all packages and look for oktoprep

3 install oktoprep

4 then when installed download 1.1.2 firmware( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M8STXHC5) just click it

5 when its done download make sure you put it where you can find it

6 go into itunes and hold shift if PC but if MAC hold option and click update and click the 1.1.2 firmware file you downloaded

7 then let it do its thing and and then download

8 after you download that file create a new folder and call it something then extract files from the rapidshare fold into that new folder

9 open the file where the files were extracted to and if MAC click OSX but if PC click windows.bat

10 then click install ssh and jailbreak

11 then let it do its thing and then you’ll see a message saying to reboot and just reboot

12 now you have a 1.1.2 jailbroken ipod touch

   hmmm both mega upload and rapidshare hates my isp. it just keeps saying i have exceeded bandwidth or the slots allocated are full. any 1 mind hosting on a different site?

   I re-virginized my itouch using the 1.1.1 firmware (I had 1.1.1 before with a ton of apps). Jailbroke the thing. Installed Oktoprep for 1.1.2, then did as instructions say, to upgrade to 1.1.2 firmware (hold shift, click restore).

   Extracted the RAR file, ran the java jar (via the windows.bat) and checked install SSH, left root password alpine, then it errors up with:

   This utility can only be used if you have already run OktoPrep before updating to 1.1.2.

   (Oktoprep ran? Or installed? the directions didn’t say you have to run it.. and if so, how do I run it? After Oktoprep install I didn’t get any new icons).

   Anyone run into this?

   mine didnt work, said that it couldnt be restored. i re downloaded the 1.1.2 package and now it worked.

   Jake,
   when you upgrade to 1.1.2, don’t shift+click on restore, shift+click the update button. i know it sounds kinda retarded, but it makes a difference.

    so I’ve been able to hack 1.1.1 sucessfully as well as upgrade to 1.1.2. But when I try I run the 1.1.2 hack it tells me I need to run oktoprep first. I know oktoprep has been insatalled because the lastest version of ijailbreak does it automatically. I have the lasest java and iTunes 7.4 on windows xp. Any ideas as to what’s going on?
