I have just put up the iPod Touch Jailbreak tutorial on the site. This was made by iPhone Alley and the touchdev team. This jailbreak method is over 33 steps. I am sure an easier way to do this will be out shortly so if you aren’t 100% sure you can handle this exploit just wait.

Mine seems to be hanging on the Installing SSH stage with iJailBreak. The iPod Touch is showing up with the graphic display suggesting that I should plug the iPod in with the USB cable, but it is already plugged in. Any thoughts?
-
After waiting a fair while for the Installation SSH process to finish, I noticed that the application (iJailbreak) wasn’t properly responding so I Force Quit it. iTunes said that I should restore the iPod so I did as I was concerned that some permanent damage may be done. I’ve restored and retried with no success. Interested to know what it is I might be doing wrong.

does any of this hacking do anything bad to your ipod touch???
-
I have spent a few days looking around and it seems not many iPod Touch users are having much success. I am going to have to wait until an easier guaranteed method of hack is available. congratulations to all those who managed to apply all the hacks so far. I will let you know how I get on when I decide to give it a go.
