Apple has released a new update for the iPod Touch and it is version 1.13. Unlike 1.12, there is no way to downgrade to 1.11 to jailbreak your iPod Touch. If you are looking to keep your iPod Touch 3rd party applications then it would be wise to not upgrade until there is a way to downgrade from 1.13.

Update 

It has come to my attention that 1.13 is indeed downgradable and you can find out instructions at the iPod Touch Master. Thanks to the commentors on this thread for letting me know.

   i downgraded from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1 with no problems
   all thta went wrong was itunes wouldn’t recognise my backup and i had to sync all my music from scratch

   I’ve downgraded 1.1.3 to 1.1.2 and then 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 in the same way you would do a normal downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 as you explain in your site. It worked perfetcly and now i’ve jailbroked it

   Only thing that differs from reported instructions is that on a Macbook Pro 10.5 and iTunes 7.6, I needed to press “alt/option” not “shift”.

   Regarding updated versions of iTunes, i download the newest one and when i connected my touch, iTunes said it couldn’t recognize the “iPhone” that was connected to the computer, so this leaves me with not chance to sync my music n stuff. I run on Windows…does anyone have the same problem? do you need to downgrade the iTunes version? thnx
