Tauw reports that significant progress has been made by the iPhone/Touch Dev team working on jailbreak software. It is definitely not ready for release but will be in the near future. This is great news and gives hope to iPod Touch owners who are hoping that along with the new iPhone jailbreak there will also be a iPod Touch jailbreak software update. If anyone has any information on whether this new jailbreak software works for the iPod Touch let me know in the comments and I will add it to the post. It looks like they have 3rd party applications running in some form but not to the point of the last jailbreak software released. They did most applications would need to be recompiled in new framework for them to work properly.

omg…lol i want the same feature that the zune have the file shares with zune to zune…that needs to be including in the ipod touch that would be so freakin awesome.
if you alredy have a jailbroken ipod touch can you update it withot messing it up???
