Cut & Paste Coming Soon -=Pastebud=-

Author : rooster

The cut and paste option has been near the top of the iPhone Flaws list.  People have been complaining about its omission in the 3G and previous releases.  3rd party applications like OpenClip have tried filling the gap but have been largely unsuccessful… seeing as the newest update has made OpenClip unusable.

Well hopefully this is about to change.  PasteBud, a web-based service will soon hit the market. Although the website is not up yet, the developers have promised it will bypass the App Store altogether.  It will function through bookmarks and allow users to browse between pages and highlight text, hit a copy button, access another page, and paste the text.

The release date is approaching and we now know this important service will be available soon.

This is not cut and paste.. This is using browser bookmarklets to send stuff over the internet to yourself in the browser. Real cut and paste is implemented by the OS (or some dedicated and resourceful programmer i.e.OpenClip guy). I’ve seen posts about this technique before, and it’s just a marginal workaround. Apple needs to get with the program, so to speak, and get this incredibly powerful computer to do the most fundamental thing an OS does.
ANd while they’re at it, they should make the calendar searchable. As it is now, I can use a pad of paper to do what it does.
    There. Rant complete.
Seriously, don’t get to up about this cut and paste. It’s not the real thing.
