Although the following may sound disheartening for those yearning for the 2G JB, it does make sense and should be respected:

Documentation does not equal progress

This was the title of the latest post by the Chronic Dev Blog.  It is there to address two issues. The issue of complainers, AKA all the people pissed off at the iPhone Dev Team.  They have done a wonderful job on the 3G iPhone, for which they should be praised.  It is too bad that they are not too enthused about the 2G JB but we have the Chronic Dev Blog.  Now the owner of the site is making slow progress but he isn’t really getting paid and it is not his responsibility to pump out miraculous JBs everywhere. We should be thankful he has taken on the challenge and supportive of his efforts. The second thing this addresses is what his blog and posts are about.  Well. . . it is in the title, documentation does not equal progress. He is just trying to keep everyone updated about his findings and shouldn’t be judged negatively on his speed of progression. Just reminding you to support all those in the JB community.

Happy Holidays

Hi Rooter and all of you across the pond, what is it with these windgers they only have themselves like me to blame for being taken in by Apple and updating to the ipodTouch 2G when Apple said it was there funnist iPod yet they were right with that one, be fair it is a load of rubbish but we are stuck with it. So leave these wonderful people with a lot of talent alone, and leave them to help us out of the shit which we fell in by buying this White Elephant. Oh god if only I had known what I was buying I would have stayed with my iPodTouch 1G. So please keep quite and pray for a quick fix soon I want my life back I want Cydia. Spend your time moaning to Apple for putting us in this mess greed all time with them. Have a happy new year and God Bless you all. Barry from the UK

I feel the same way. The Dev team had done a tremendous job ok both the iTouch 1G and the iPhone 3G. People should just be patient and wait. We know the Dev team won’t let us, the many iTouch consumers done so just be patient. I’ve seen a bunch of fake YouTube videos, all linking to malicious downloads of QuickPWN that are flooded with malicious software like Trojans and other stuff. Just trust the
Dev team and don’t download ANYTHING from untrusted sources.
