Regarding updated versions of iTunes, i download the latest version and when i connected my touch, iTunes said it couldn’t recognize the “iPhone” that was connected to the computer, so this leaves me with not chance to sync my music n stuff. I run on Windows…does anyone have the same problem? do you need to downgrade the iTunes version? thnx

Yes, it can be reverted back through iTunes. Theoretically real damage could be done through untested apps, for example by running one that could push the iPod's capabilities further than possible and frying the components in it. Of course this is unlikely, and it seems like mainly high quality apps are being written. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it, and I have only had problems with one app. It's called Waves, and after running it for a couple min and playing a lot with it, when I returned to the main UI everything was flickering. I reset the iPod and it's fine now.. just be smart with what you do

Once a Touch is jailbroken, can it be reverted back to the Apple firmware? Also, is there any real damage that could be done? I have never done the jailbreak before but Apple's new policy of charging for apps makes me want to.
