A Weird Problem

Author : The Lone Stag

Yesterday I had a question about a problem with someone’s iPod. The person had their Springboard icons all mixed up, apparently by some sort of weird bug or something. Right after reading this, I had it happen to me. I think I figured it out. What I was doing was updating my apps on my iPod, through the AppStore. I started one, and then I wanted to do something else, being somewhat impatient. When I tried to move to a different Springboard tab, it wouldn’t move. I then tried to run the AppStore to try and update another app. That was a mistake. When I tried to download two, it froze and then reset Springboard. When it loaded, my icons were in default position and not where I wanted them.

I am not sure if this is a one time thing, or if it will keep happening now. What I did was run PowerTool (a Cydia app) to reboot my iPod, after I had rearranged my icons. When it turned on again, the icons were in the places I moved them. Try to avoid this problem altogether by  being patient and only updating/downloading one app at a time.
