   Hey i was wondering if anyone can help me. im not sure if you are able to jailbreak a 1.5 ipod touch 1st generation. I accidentally messed up my ipod and updated it. And i know you can jail break a 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 but serously i don’t want to buy the updates if apple is going to charge ipod touch users and not iphone users. it seems unfair. Is there and way where you can just send me the file for the 2.2 update so that i can download it and put it in my ipod???

   I really need the help im tired of waiting and hoping for a new update to come out where i don’t have to actually have to buy it.

   Don’t try it because it doesn’t work.
   All of those comments are from fake accounts and people he convinced to say it worked. In the video you can clearly see that he is using a 1st gen ipod touch. So just don’t try it!!!

   Please no this THAT THERE IS NO JAILBREAK FOR THE IPOD TOUCH 2g YET. The chronic dev team has been working on it for only a couple weeks now so be patient. They do not the same question every time, “Is there a jailbreak? Is there a jailbreak?”. Wouldnt that just get annoying to you? Please be patient, and by the way, do not, I repeat, DO NOT USE ONE OF THE SUPPOSIBlLY REAL JAILBREAKS ON YOUTUBE. CAUTION!!! THEY ARE ALL FAKE!!! THEY COULD BE A VIRUS THAT COULD HARM YOUR COMPUTER OR IPOD!! BE WARNED!!! So when they say that it works, it is a fake, when they show you and it leven looks real, ITS’ NOT!!! It is either just a picture of installer, cydia ect… Or it is the first generation touch with a case on it making it look like a 2g. I am doing you a favor, so if you want the jailbreak for the 2g touch, you must be patient and look for reliable recources and multiple recources to check if it has came out yet, for my reccomendation check the chronic dev team. So be warned.

    U guys ever heard of google?? To downgrade itumes u search for the version u want. Then u downlad it but u must uninstall your other itunes first. Then u hit the start button at the desktop and click search then click search all files . Type in itunes library. Then you delete the file that reads ituneslibrary.exe. Walah. To upgrade firmware to 2.2 free u must first download the 2.0 firmware. Type it in google and u will find sites that have the download. Once downloaded open itunes and hold shift and click update. A folder will pop up and you will see the firmware file. Select. O also when downloading the firmware make sure u click save to make the download begin

    OMG! The only way to use iTunes with and iPod touch is with iTunes 8 otherwise it doesn’t work. And anyways even if you do downgrade your iPod touch 2g firmware the lowest you can do it to is 2.1.1 and even I’d you could downgrade it any lower you wouldn’t end up being able to jailbreak it because it’s not just the firmware that is different in the 2g iPod touch, it is also the hardware. That’s why there are deb teams smartass

    Check this out dumbass i never said download firmware to jailbreak!! Please learn to read. Someone simply asked how to download an earlier version of itunes. I answered. Then someone asked how to downgrade firmware and i told them. That simple. I said nothing about a jailbreak. Also tou know nothing. You can downgrade farther than 2.0.1. You download itunes 7.7 and you cam downgrade to 1.1.x firmwares…. Smart ass

    ok, first off like jfj said above, the website ipod.uuuq.com is full of shit and a waist of people’s time. i don’t see why people need to ask how to jailbreak their itouch 2g when in fact this entire blog states that THERE IS NO GOD DAMN JAILBREAK YET!!! THE CHRONIC DEV TEAM IS WORKING ON IT!! On another note, there are some “good guys” on youtube who actually know what they’re talking about and don’t post a bunch of fake shit.

    If you go to http://www.youtube.com/user/Dinozambas you’ll find a ton of information on the itouch 1st gen, 2nd gen, and iphone 3g. he doesn’t post anything fake or useless, it is all completely legit i swear. plus, when the 2nd gen jailbreak comes out (if it actually does) he’ll be one of the first to put a video up on how to do it. so i recommend watching/subscribing on his channel if any of you are anxious. if you want to message me personally or call me an asshole or w/e for posting this ridiculously long comment then my youtube account is http://www.youtube.com/user/SilentDeath901

    I just bought a imac 324, and i have an iphone 2g jailbroked. The first time i conected iphone into itunes, my iphone chip turned off, not recognized anymore. I restarted using itunes, but nothing.
    Qwrprn but nothing… 10sec + 10 sec then sometimes error 1600 other error 6.
    Can someone help me?
