   it worked! i have an i pod touch 3g and i have been trying to jailbreak for about a month. i have tried everything. this one didn’t work either the first time but then i tried it again and it worked just like that. click make it rain and if it doesn’t work the first time, just run it again with out pressing anything but make it rain. that’s what i did and it worked. try it if you want. hope it workes for you! peace…

   Another easy one from geohotz is Blackra1n.com exactly the same and download rock instead of cydia it is way faster easier and shows previews of what you are downloading and also has all the apps cydia has and even more.

   That was so much easier compared to the last time I jailbreaked my iPod. Took only thirty seconds, and I didn’t have to restore my iPod! That was awesome!

    it is still frozen after 30 minutes, it just has blank screen and i cant do anything. I cant even power it down. When i try connecting it to the computer it does not recognize my ipod. What should i do???

    hey this really works great but when ever i turn my ipod completely of or the battery runs out all the way and turn it back on it says i have to restore my ipod. Ihave to restore my ipod each time and reinstall everything

    you dont have to restore each time!!! when that screen pops up on your ipod saying to restore, just run blackra1n again

    this is tethered? wtf. If you do not know what this means: If you shut it down, you have to connect it to the PC again before it works… so you cannot let it run out of battery or reboot.

    theres not a whole lot of jailbroken stuff you can keep but updating through itunes will keeps all your songs, apps and videos

    Help, I have a new ipod touch 8gb (i was told at best buy it was 3rd generation) and it is running the 3.1.2 software, can i use the same jailbreak that was used to the ipod touch 2nd generation? or will the new software not allow me to jailbreak it? Thanks!

    I got a problem guys

    Trying to jailbreak 8GB 1G Ipod Touch

    Run blackra1n, and after a few seconds message appears saying jailbreak successful. However, I do not get the picture that you are supposed to get while jailbreaking, nor is the blackra1n app on my springboard after a supposedly successful jailbreak. In fact, I don’t even know that it’s jailbroken.
