The upgrade of the OS costs $10. The App Store is included in said update, and will not be available seperately because it would be useless without the upgraded OS. I was actually going to switch from my ipod touch and N95 8GB to a 3G iphone if it did everything it was supposed to do... No hope of that happening. I am very interested in getting a huge upgrade in memory for the ipod touch too... I can't wait to see.?. But yes, in general the ipod touch in principle MUST be retailed for less than the phone! I am never buying another Apple product unless this happens. I will gladly pay more for a multitude of other gadgets just to spite them, lol.
