an open letter to those smarter than me (about everybody)

And every person reading this knows what I am talking about, you are on a site devoted exclusively to cracking open a certain device. As I take a moment and reflect on the historic announcement of the iPod Touch and subsequent chatter of its release into the wild, a few little goosebumps appear on my arm…this is exciting! My wife has even said I can get one (she works and has been brainwashed at Starbucks, so as soon as I revealed that feature she went into a mystical trance and immediately said yes. Wonder if I could sue them for that?)!

Anyways, onto the open letter. Hackers, I adore you. If you set up a PayPal account on your site, and the hack does what it is supposed to do, then some $$$$$$ (well, maybe just $$) will be coming your way. But there is a stipulation, give me what the rest of less-talented n00bs want. Here are our demands, sort of a reverse ransom:

Google Maps

Mail (would Thunderbird be possible?)

iCal, give its balls back or give us something else

Remote Desktop

iChat or some kind of client

OpenOffice? (tough, but i’ll pay you for it)

I know, we have banged around what we want hacked and put on this thing, but remember, o’ hacker, your hard work will be rewarded!
