1. Download the 1.1.1 firmware
2. After the download has finish put your itouch into recovery mode
3. Now hold shift and click restore(go into itunes)
4. Find the file and double click the 1.1.1 file you download
5. Then wait and let it do its thing
6. Then you should have firmware 1.1.1
7. Now you can jailbreak and install iphone apps (just use my instructions)

1. Have your itouch on and connected into your computer or laptop
2. hold the sleep button and the home button
3. But when you the apple let go of the sleep button
4. Then you’ll see a the itouch screen wants you to hook your itouch into your computer
Your firmware will be 1.1.2 because they dont put frimware 1.1.1 into itouches anymore so you have to manually downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1
If you get the little question in the corner when you try to install appsnap on jailbreakme.com it means you have firmware 1.1.2 .The only way to install appsnap is by having firmware 1.1.1. Apple made 1.1.2 so you couldnt jailbreak. So the solution to fix this is by using my downgrading instructions to downgrade to 1.1.1 and I even posted posted the link for 1.1.1 and all u have to do is click the link and download then follow my downgrade instruction. Im putting this up because im getting pissed at the people who keeping asking about it.
There has been a huge amount of traffic the last 3 days from what I am assuming is people receiving the iPod Touch for Christmas and now want to hack it. This is great, but it can be a bit daunting to figure out what you need to do and why you need to do it. This will be a quick FAQ that should answer some common questions. 1. What is Jailbreaking the iPod Touch?
A: Jailbreaking the iPod Touch means that you break the protection apple has installed on the iPod and allow for 3rd party programs to be installed on it. (It is similar to unlocking a cell phone)
2. Why do I need 1.11 installed to Jailbreak?
A: The iPod Touch was released with 1.11 and iPod Touch hackers were able to find a vulnerability and use it to jailbreak the iPod Touch. The newest software version 1.12 has not been hacked but the work around is downgrading to 1.11 and then using the old jailbreak method.
3. How Can I Jailbreak my iPod Touch?
A: Once you have 1.11 installed check out our iPod Touch Jailbreak page. There are multiple methods to jailbreak but the current one posted on 12/01 described in this post is currently the easiest solution.

How to fix Bricked ipod (fatal error)
1) Exit itunes.
2) With the touch plugged in, hold sleep and home button until it shuts off, but KEEP holding them until the apple comes back on.
3) When you see the apple, let go of the sleep button but still hold the home button until the “connect to iTunes” screen appears.
4) Then, start up iTunes and it should recognize that your ipod needs to be restored and it worked for me that time.

1) go onto safari then type jailbreakme.com
2) instal appsnap
3) let it do it’s thing
4) go into install and install openssh,bsd system,launcher
5) Install whatever you would like with your jailbroken iPod Touch

3) then click add and add http://repo.us.to
4) then press done and go to install
